Earlier this month I got to spend a week in Amman, Jordan. And I had a really good time.
Before we flew down to Amman, I was in Copenhagen, I had to take a flight to Glasgow to pack my things and get ready. I had about 12 hours. My next flight was to my dad in Stockholm, from there we’d fly down to Vienna and meet up with my great uncle. I got to spend a few hours in Stockholm with Dad. We had an early flight, so we didn’t get enough sleep I don’t believe I’ve ever been this exhausted.

The flights were comfy and they weren’t that long at all. It took about 7-8 hours in total.
The trip was a surprise. My grandparents did not know we were coming down to see them. They only knew that my great uncle was going to be there. So as we got in, they were in disbelieve.
We spent most of our time out dining. Since we were in Jordan during the holy month of Ramadan, we weren’t allowed to eat or drink outside. It’s frowned upon, since the majority of people are fasting. But that wasn’t an issue. The family was somehow reunited in the Middle East, it felt good to be in a warm place again. I felt at home. I always do whenever I’m down here.

I was exhausted most of time and I missed Laust very much. I still managed to enjoy myself and have a good time. I was surrounded by family and I genuinely needed that. I got to eat all my favourite foods. I was in a warm environment. And I got to see how much love there is in my family.
As soon as it was time to fly back home, I got ill. And on my flight back to Copenhagen from Stockholm I got very sick. I had to stay in bed for two days after that. And I was unable to eat anything.
It’s been a few weeks since then and I’ve been super busy, with so many things! But that’s for another blog post!
